NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) -- Two women faces charges of strong armed robbery after they are accused of attacking an elderly man and taking his wallet.

Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards tells WTVA.com the incident happened Saturday night around 5:30 p.m. at a home in the Jericho community.

Edwards says Jessica Lynn Andrews, 28, of Baldwyn and Sherry K. Jamerson, 24, of Fulton drove to the man's home, attacked him, and took his wallet.

The man was later found in the front yard of his home, but Edwards says he was not seriously injured.

Jamerson was arrested shortly after the incident, and had her four-year-old child with her.

Andrews ran into a wooded area and was arrested around 8 p.m. Saturday night.

Both are charged with strong armed robbery and their bonds are set at $50,000 each.

Edwards has also charged Jamerson with child endangerment and she has a $10,000 bond on that charge.

Andrews is on probation and has a hold placed on her with the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
