TORRENCE, Ca. (WTVA) -- Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. says winter weather conditions had some impact on its sales during the month of January.
The company reported sales of 146,365 units, down 7.2 percent from sales in January of 2013.
Company officials say they were pleased with retail sales, especially strong truck results and expect to see growth back in February.
Sales of the Corolla were down 4.5 percent during January.
Toyota officials say for the nine month period ending in December, sales of Toyota were up nearly 5 percent in North America.
The company reports worldwide sales of 6,784,523 vehicles, an increase of 155,041 vehicles over the same period nine month period last year.
