NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) - You've probably heard the statement used by many businesses that "the customer is always right."
The value of excellent customer service was the message Friday for some New Albany business owners and their employees.
The New Albany Main Street Association hosted a seminar with guest speaker Andrea Barrett.
She teaches at Northeast Mississippi Community College and helps students get ready to enter customer oriented professions.
Barrett brought her expertise to this meeting.
It served as a refresher for what businesses already know: good customer service is key to bringing success.
New Albany Main Street Association Manager Vickie Duke said, "We just want to remind businesses that your customer is there. They're the ones who help you stay in business, and you need to focus on them."
This is one of three seminars held annually by the New Albany Main Street Association that focuses on helping improve existing businesses in town.
