NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) - It's a sale that includes items like guns, vehicles, and heavy equipment such as bulldozers.
Union County's Board of Supervisors along with the sheriff's department and local fire departments are selling off surplus property.
The sheriff's department is cleaning out its storage rooms that are full of weapons seized over the years during drug busts and other cases.
There will also be vehicles seized during crimes that are now for sale.
With several new fire trucks bought, used ones and other equipment will be offered.
There will also be items the county road crews no longer use.
Union County Road Manager James Byers said, "We've got some equipment we're not utilizing. The board of supervisors made a decision that we're going to sell some surplus equipment."
Money collected from the items goes back to the county.
The auction and sale begins at 9:00 a-m Saturday at the Union County Fairgrounds in New Albany.
