MYRTLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- Union County authorities have charged a man with failing to register as a sex offender.
Sheriff Jimmy Edwards says Terry McCrary, 42, was arrested Thursday at an apartment complex in Myrtle.
Edwards says McCrary had several prior arrests in Marshall County on similar charges and had moved to Union County.
He says the apartment was walking distance from Myrtle Attendance Center.
McCrary also faces charges of being a registered sex offender within 1500 feet of a school.
He is currently in the Union County jail on a $40,000 bond.
