NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A New Albany man has pleaded guilty to child exploitation.

Court officials say Benjamin Bishop, 25, entered the guilty plea during a hearing in Union County Circuit Court Friday morning.

Bishop was indicted earlier this year for using a computer to entice a 15-year-old to meet him for the purpose of engaging in sexually explicit conduct in August of 2012.

Bishop was an employee of Victory Christian Academy in New Albany at the time of the incident.

Following the guilty plea, Bishop was given a 10-year suspended sentence, five years probation and ordered to pay $1,000 to the Children's Trust Fund.

He must also register as a sex offender.
