NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) -- Authorities say they know the cause of death of a truck driver found dead in the cab of his 18-wheeler Sunday afternoon in New Albany.
Coroner Mark Golding says further details, including the man's name, will not be released until authorities have time to talk with the man's family.
New Albany police says the vehicle had been parked at the Pilot Truck Stop for an undetermined amount of time.
Authorities say the man's trucking company contacted Pilot and said they hadn't heard from the trucker in a few days.
Afterward, an employee notified New Albany police and an officer found the individual inside the cab just after noon Sunday.
