TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. (WTVA) -- According to Tishomingo County Sheriff Glenn Whitlock, four people are behind bars, facing several charges, thanks to help local police and authorities in Tennessee.
Investigators say Mary Elizabeth McKee, 30, formally of Iuka, was located and arrested in Chester Co., Tenn. on Thursday, November 7.
McKee was wanted for charges of burglary of a dwelling and arson.
Authorities say for several months, the Tishomingo County Sheriff's Department has been trying to locate McKee due to a grand jury indictment concerning the case.
Investigators with the Tishomingo County Sheriff's Department worked with the Corinth Police Department, McNairy County, Tenn. Sheriff's Department, Chester County, Tenn. Sheriff's Department and the United States Marshal's Fugitive Apprehension Unit in attempts to locate McKee.
McKee was located in a residence in Chester County, Tenn. and was extradited back to the Tishomingo County Jail, where she remains.
In a separate case, the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department assisted the McNairy County TN Sheriff’s Department in the arrest of Justin Justice, 24, formerly of Tishomingo County, and Anthony Fuqua, 34, of Iuka, for aggravated burglary and theft of property.
Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department Chief Investigator Logan Vaughn and Fire Investigator Jessie Jones initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Fuqua and recovered stolen items from the vehicle.
Justice and Fuqua are currently in custody in the McNairy County Jail. The MDOC has placed a hold on both men.
In another case, investigators say Sonya Flanagan, 27 of Burnsville, was arrested for on a grand jury indictment for sale of a controlled substance.
