IUKA, Miss. (WTVA) -- Students are being dismissed as of 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Tishomingo County High School due to a gas leak.

According to Superintendent Ben McClung, a contractor hit a gas line while working outside the high school.

Superintendent McClung says emergency crews responded quickly and the students were evacuated to the football field immediately.

No one was injured, but no one will be allowed to re-enter the building Wednesday as a safety precaution.

Students have been dismissed at Tishomingo County High School.

Again, this affects high school students ONLY.

School is scheduled to resume Thursday morning.
