TIPPAH COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) -- Authorities say an Iuka woman has died after an all-terrain vehicle accident near Lake Mohawk Friday night.
Deputies received the call at approximately 8:26 p.m.
Deputy Coroner Chris McCallister said Lori Anne McKee, 39, received fatal injuries after being ejected from an ATV on the entrance road to the lake.
Deputies said it appeared McKee was driving too fast when she hit a curve and lost control of the vehicle.
McCallister said a second person sustained head injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville.
He said the unidentified passenger had already been released.
The accident remains under investigation by the Tippah County Sheriff's Department.
