OKOLONA, Miss. (WTVA) -- Okolona police have charged a fifth person in connection with a shooting in the city last week.

Assistant Police Chief Dwight Parker tells Christopher McIntosh, 22, of Okolona is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

As WTVA News first reported Saturday, officers were called to the home around 11:30 p.m. on January 31 after two people were shot in the front yard of the home.

A 14-year-old was shot in the head and remains in stable condition at a Memphis hospital.

An adult male was also shot twice in the foot during the incident.

Leonard Ray Darden, 32, of Okolona and Archie Darden, 26, of Okolona have also been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Rafer Lee Darden, 60, of Okolona and Stephanie Darden of Okolona are both charged with child neglect.

The shooting apparently was the result of a domestic disturbance.
