BELMONT, Miss. (WTVA) -- Residents of Belmont held their 37th annual Bear Creek Festival and Car Show Saturday.

Hundreds of people came to the festival.

There was music, vendors and other activities for families to enjoy.

The festival also included a car show.

More than a hundred cars were registered in the show by people from all over the area.

One organzier says this fesitval helps to promote Belmont's economy.

"It brings everybody together, helps out our local businesses," Cardinal Cruisers member Lanny Gasaway said. "It's belmont's biggest day."

Lots of local businesses and community members helped to put the festival and car show together.

Gasaway says it takes about six months to plan the event.

He says they have already started to prepare for next year.
