OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- Prosecutors have filed an appeal of the conditions of release given to a man indicted for the robberies of four north Mississippi banks.
Brian Perry Jones, 35, of Toney, Alabama pleaded not guilty to the charges earlier this month in U. S. District Court.
The federal indictment says Jones held up Renasant Bank branches in Booneville, Iuka, and Tupelo between August 16 and November 19, 2012.
The judge set a $10,000 bond, along with conditions Jones must meet as part of his release.
Last week, prosecutors filed a motion last week claiming Jones is a danger to the community and the bond is not sufficient to guarantee his presence at future hearings of the court.
Jones' attorney filed a response saying his client has abided by the court orders in the release and is not a threat to run because of family ties he has to north Alabama.
A federal judge has ordered a hearing on the motions Monday, February 4 at 1:30 p.m.
