BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- The ongoing investigation into the burglaries of churches  has lead to more charges against a Tishomingo couple.

Sheriff Randy Tolar says Gregory Odel Robinson, 41, and Mary Gwen Robinson, 41, are now connected to four church burglaries in Prentiss County and two others in Tishomingo County.

The Robinson's were arrested in July and charged with two counts of burglary of a building and possession of burglary tools.

Tolar says they have added an additional count of burglary and expects more charges to be filed by his department.

Tishomingo County authorities have currently charged the Robinsons with one count of auto burglary from an incident that happened the day before their arrest.

The couple was arrested after a report of a suspicious car at the Silome Methodist Church in Prentiss County on July 23.

Deputies discovered items belonging to the church inside the car and a search of their home on Highway 364 turned up more items taken in other breakins.
