BELMONT, Miss. (WTVA) — Three-term Tishomingo County Constable Jeff Kemp has died.

His sister says Kemp died Saturday after an extended illness.  He was 47.

Kemp represented the southern part of the county as a constable.  He also worked for 17 years as the paramedic director for Transcare Ambulance Service.

His funeral will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Golden Central Baptist Church.

The Tishomingo County Board of Supervisors could decide this week how to fill Kemp's seat.
