OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -- A federal judge has scheduled a hearing for Monday for arguments on the amount of bound set for an Alabama man charged in the robberies of four north Mississippi banks.
Federal prosecutors say 35-year-old Brian Perry Jones of Toney, Ala., robbed two banks in Tupelo and one each in Booneville and Iuka during a period from August to November of 2012.
Jones was arrested in Tishomingo County following the last robbery.
He pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court in Oxford on Jan. 11. The judge set a $10,000 bond.
Prosecutors say the bond "is insufficient to protect the community and to guarantee his presence at future hearings.''
