Amnesty program for local municipalities

IUKA, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Tishomingo County Justice Court and other surrounding municipalities are participating in an amnesty program to allow residents with old fines to pay them during March.

The program will allow those with any old fine balances or remaining fines that have been previously set by the court to resume payments or schedule a new payment plan and have arrest warrants for "failure to pay" canceled.

Individuals must come in voluntarily between Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and should pay with cash or money orders.

Participating municipalities include those in Belmont, Burnsville, Golden, Iuka and Tishomingo. They can be contacted at the following:
