IUKA, Miss. (WTVA) -- An Alabama man was arrested for kidnapping, aggravated assault and child abuse in Tishomingo County Tuesday.

Deputies say Steven Noyola, 19, was accused of assaulting a woman and taking a child out of the vehicle she was in.

The woman reported Noyola then put the child in his vehicle and drove away as she was attempting to stop him.

His vehicle description was given, and he was later pulled over by deputies during a traffic stop. Deputies say the child was in his car.

The woman suffered a fractured wrist and injuries to her knee and hip during the incident.

A report filed with the deputies says Noyola was the father of the victim's baby.

He was booked in the Tishomingo County Jail, and his bond has not been set yet.
