BALDWYN, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Booneville man faces charges after he failed to stop for law enforcement officers Saturday.

Baldwyn police have charged Timothy Wayne Tucker, 28, with DUI, felony fleeing, and other traffic violations.

Authorities say they attempted to stop Tucker around 5 p.m. on the Lee-Prentiss County line.

He refused to stop and drove through parts of Lee, Union, and Tippah County for nearly 30 minutes.

Authorities say Tucker's vehicle hit a Tippah County patrol car and he jumped out and ran into the woods.

He was apprehended a short time later.
