GULFPORT, Miss. (WTVA) - Some of the best players of the north half of Mississippi met the best of the south half on the gridiron on Saturday, and the South came away with a 34-13 win.

Itawamba AHS running back Charles Moore scored the only offensive touchdown in the game for the North, a two-yard run in the second quarter to tie the game at 6-6 (the extra point was blocked).

The only other North touchdown of the game gave the North a 13-6 lead in the second quarter, when Starkville's Jacoby Smith returned a South fumble for a touchdown.

But the South scored three rushing touchdowns in the third quarter, and added a long passing touchdown in the fourth quarter to get the win.

The South has won four of the last five meetings.
