JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) - The finalists for the Howell Trophy and Gillom Trophy, awarded to the state's top men's and women's college basketball players, have been announced.
The Howell finalists are Marshall Henderson and Murphy Holloway of Ole Miss and Dwayne Davis of Southern Miss. The Gillom finalists are Martha Alwal of Mississippi State, Jamierra Faulkner of Southern Miss and Valencia McFarland of Ole Miss.
The winners will be announced next Monday at a luncheon at the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum in Jackson.
