TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA/AP) - The college baseball season ended on Monday night with the Arizona Wildcats completing a series sweep of the South Carolina Gamecocks to win the National Championship. On Thursday, Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball released their final 2012 rankings.
The Wildcats and Gamecocks are 1-2 in both polls, and the Southeastern Conference is well represented in the rankings.
Mississippi State is ranked in both polls. The Bulldogs finished at No. 22 in the Baseball America poll and No. 24 in the Collegiate Baseball poll.
Voting for the Collegiate Baseball poll is done by coaches, sports writers and sports information directors. The Baseball America poll is voted on by the staff of Baseball America.
