Dogs, Rebs move up in national rankings

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - Mississippi State's baseball team is 15-0, the program's best start since opening 2006 with 18 consecutive wins.

MSU is ranked No. 3 this week in Baseball America. They're also fifth in Collegiate Baseball and sixth in USA Today.

The Diamond Dogs are scheduled to host Mississippi Valley State Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. before hosting Central Arkansas this weekend to conclude a season-opening 19-game homestand.

Ole Miss is ranked No. 7 in Baseball America. They're also 11th in Collegiate Baseball and 15th in USA Today.

The Rebels (11-1) will host Southeastern Louisiana Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. before hosting Lipscomb this weekend.
