BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Prentiss County woman has been charged with assaulting a school teacher.
Sheriff Randy Tolar says deputies were called to Hills Chapel School on March 22 for a disturbance.
He says when they arrived they determined a teacher had been physically assaulted by a parent.
The teacher was treated at a local hospital and released.
Tolar says the investigation lead to the the arrest of Angela Nunley, 35, of Booneville.
She is charged with simple assault on a school teacher, a felony under Mississippi law.
Nunley is currently free on a $5,000 bond.
