BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Prentiss County woman has died after a van she was a passenger in was hit by a dump truck Friday morning.
Trooper Ray Hall says Becky A. Hatfield, 35, was ejected from the van and died at the scene of the accident.
He says the accident happened around 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 30 Bypass and County Road 5031.
Hall says the driver of the van, Betty Turvaville, 71, of Booneville suffered critical injuries and was taken the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
