TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — Tupelo police say a man arrested in Tishomingo County is a strong person of interest in connection with Monday's robbery of the Renasant Bank in Tupelo.

The bank on North Gloster Street near The Mall at Barnes Crossing was held up after 4 p.m.

Police Captain Rusty Haynes says the man is also a person of interest in Friday's Renasant Bank robbery in Booneville and the robbery of a Renasant Bank in Iuka back in August.

Tishomingo County Sheriff Glenn Whitlock says the person, whose name has not been released, was arrested on the Natchez Trace Parkway near Bear Creek.
