BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- Two people are under arrest after a weekend burglary in Prentiss County.

Sheriff Randy Tolar says James Reese Montgomery, 18, of Tupelo and Megan Amelia Dye, 21, of Pontotoc are charged with two counts of burglary of a dwelling.

Tolar says deputies received calls of breakins at homes on County Road 5131 and 5331 over the weekend.

He says investigators developed the two as suspects after talking with witnesses who noticed suspicious activity and reported it to authorities.

Tolar says they have recovered some of the items taken in the burglaries and are in the the process of locating the remaining items.

He says the investigation is ongoing and the pair may face additional charges.
