BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A jury has been seated and testimony is underway in a Prentiss County murder trial.
Rebecca Lynn Jones, 48, of Lexington, Alabama is on trial for the shooting death of her mother, Jane Jones, 66, at a home on Highway 4 near Booneville in May of 2010.
Jones' attorney claims she never intended to shoot the woman.
A trial last October ended in a mistrial after Jones was hospitalized for an unspecified medical condition and couldn't show up for court after testimony had begun.
