PRENTISS CO., Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi Highway Patrol says there has been an accident involving a Prentiss County school bus and a vehicle.

Trooper Ray Hall says around 20 children were on the bus at the time of the wreck, but none appear to have serious injuries.

School officials say three students were taken to a hospital by ambulance to be checked out, but have been released.

Hall says the driver of the other vehicle is being airlifted to the hospital for her injuries.

This school bus wreck happened around 7:00 a-m in the Burton community in Prentiss County on Highway 365 near Highway 30.

Hall says it appears the driver of the vehicle rear-ended the school bus.

School officials say the bus was carrying students from Hills Chapel and New Site.

The accident remains under investigation.
