PRENTISS CO., Miss. (WTVA) -- A man from Booneville is behind bars facing several charges.
According to the Prentiss County Sheriff's Department, a deputy stopped Michael Brandon Palmer, 28, on Wednesday, June 19.
Investigators say Palmer was riding an ATV on CR 5011 near Highway 145.
The deputy says he discovered Palmer had methamphetamine in his possession and further investigation by authorities revealed the fact that the ATV had been stolen out of Lee County in the early part of May.
Palmer is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
His bond is set at $11,000.
In a separate incident, the Prentiss County Sheriff's Department says a deputy made another drug-related arrest.
This one happened on Tuesday, June 18.
Authorities say Randall Steven Whirley, 39, of Iuka is charged with possession of crystal meth.
Whirley's bond was set at $2,500.
