BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) — Governor Phil Bryant spent part of his Tuesday visiting the public schools in Booneville.

It's one of two districts in Mississippi participating in an education technology pilot program.

All students and teachers have laptops and tablets, and all schools have high speed Internet.

According to the governor, the program should be expanded to all schools in the state.

"Just ask any of the students," said Bryant. "They're the first ones to tell you that other schools and other students need this same opportunity."

Hattiesburg is the other school district participating in the pilot program.
