RANDOLPH, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Pontotoc teen who was injured in a car accident last month is still in a coma at North Mississippi Medical Center.

A group of people came to Boy Scout Camp Yocona to hold a prayer vigil in Chase Mobley's honor Saturday.

Mobley was involved in a car accident Sept. 19th on Highway 78 near Peppertown.

He was airlifted to NMMC with life-threatening injuries.

Boy scout leaders said Mobley is showing some signs of improvement and his vitals have stabilized.

Leaders said the vigil gave the community a chance to show the family that they are praying for Mobley to wake up soon.

"It's been very trying on the family and just having people who are willing to support them in prayer has got to be very important to them," Yocona Area Council District Executive Dave Rogers said.

Chase Mobley is an eagle scout.

His father is also the Religious Emblems Coordinator for the Yocona Area Council.
