PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) -- Students at Pontotoc Middle School are taking it upon themselves to make sure the less fortunate don't go hungry.

Starting October 18th, and running for a week, is a campaign called "Stuff the Bus."

A bus owned and operated by a Florida evangelist named Skip Bounder, will be parked at the Piggly Wiggly in Pontotoc where it will accept food donations.

All donated items will go to the Pontotoc County Food Pantry.

"Just children giving and families giving to other children in our community. We know that the families have young children that are eating these products and that's what we need," said teacher Murray Collum.

The evangelist will live on the bus for seven days during the food drive.

The goal is to raise enough food to feed the less fortunate for eight months.
