Ribbon cutting set for Highway 6 four-lane project

TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi Department of Transportation is ready to open a four-lane stretch of highway in Lee and Pontotoc County.

Officials say they will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 15th for the Highway 6 widening project.

The new roadway will start at the end of an existing four-lane highway in the Longview community of Pontotoc County to South Gloster Street in Tupelo.

The ribbon cutting is scheduled to take place on Highway 6 at Hancock Road at 10 a.m.
