PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) -- People in Pontotoc got their fair share of blueberries Saturday.

Pontotoc Ridge Blueberry Farm's Blueberry Festival featured blueberry inspired dishes, and visitors even had the opportunity to dunk the farm's owner.

The owner Teresa Holifield even allowed guests to pick their own blueberries for the first time during the festival.

Holifield's favorite part about the festival is that it brings the community together.

"It's good family clean fun. Coming out,  spending time with your kids, riding wagon rides, experience things they don't experience normally," said Holifield.

Holifield started growing blueberries when she moved to Pontotoc from the Misissippi Coast 27 years ago.

She says the Blueberry Festival gets bigger, better, and fresher each year.
