ECRU, Miss. (WTVA) -- First National Bank of Pontotoc dedicated its new Ecru branch Thursday morning.
Bank officials were joined by local leaders to celebrate the opening of a permanent branch in the town.
First National Bank opened a temporary location last year at the request of local residents who wanted a bank in their town.
BankcorpSouth had operated a branch in Ecru, but it was one of eight locations shutdown during a reorganization in May of 2011.
First National Bank of Pontotoc is a locally owned banking company with four locations.
