PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) -- Paslode officials confirm they are ending production in their fastener division later this year.

Paslode says the decision was made to streamline operations and optimize resources to serve the needs of their customers.

A company news release says work in Pontotoc will end on December 13, 2013.

Company officials says 24 workers will receive seperation benefits and outplacement services.

Paslode will continue to work with local resources to provide assistance during the transition process.
