PONTOTOC, Miss. (WTVA) -- The city of Pontotoc is celebrating the start of football season by hosting its first ever tailgating event.
The Rebel vs. Bulldog barbecue contest will take place Saturday on the square across from the courthouse with teams representing either the Ole Miss Rebels or the Mississippi State Bulldogs and showing off their tailgating skills.
It's also a competition with some of the areas top grill masters competing for the best in pork, ribs, vegetables and anything else that goes on a grill.
It all gets started at noon across from the county courthouse.
