(WTVA) — Law enforcement has identified the two people arrested Saturday night in Tupelo after a high speed pursuit.

The Pickens County, Alabama, Sheriff's Office says Anthony Glenn Poe of Smithville and Karen Michelle Barker of Oxford were arrested around 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

They were being sought in connection with the robbery of an elderly woman in her yard Friday on Reform-Gordo Road.

Pontotoc County Sheriff Leo Mask says the pursuit began when the two were confronted by deputies in Sherman.

That chase ended on Blair Street in Tupelo.

Poe and Barker are being held in the Lee County jail.

Pickens County Chief Deputy Greg Carr says the two will be brought back to Alabama to face robbery, assault and theft charges.
