ALICEVILLE, Ala. (AP) _ A train carrying crude oil has caught fire in western Alabama.
Emergency officials said Friday that three train cars exploded near Aliceville and several others either derailed or sustained damage. No injuries have been reported.
Alabama Emergency Management Agency spokeswoman Yasamie August said an emergency coordinator at the scene reported that one family was forced to evacuate their home. That family has since returned.
August said firefighters are letting the blaze burn out since the damage is contained to a rural area.
It was not immediately clear whether oil spilled during the incident.
