OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) — An Oktibbeha County fire official said three people may have died in a house fire Wednesday near Mississippi State University.

Emergency responders are searching what's left of a home at Blackjack Road and Bardwell Road.

Oktibbeha County Fire Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan said East Oktibbeha firefighters found a large wooden home on fire around 12 p.m.

Rosenhan added that the three believed to have been in the home were the homeowner, a 92-year-old woman who was bedridden; the woman's college-aged grandson and a middle-aged woman was the homeowner's caregiver.
