COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) -- Utility crews have restored power to hundreds of people who lost power Tuesday morning.

A 4-County Electric Power Association spokesperson says a TVA power pole fell around 5 a.m., knocking out two substations in Oktibbeha County.

Nearly 6,000 people initially lost power because of the problem.

As of 3:30 p.m., the power had been restored to all the customers affected.
