STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - A Sturgis man is arrested and faces a number of charges after a routine traffic stop in Starkville.

Starkville Police say Mason Garrett Hale, 21, of Craig Springs Road in Sturgis, Mississippi, was arrested on Wednesday after fleeing from officers after the routine traffic stop.

Authorities say officers pursued Hale and were able to apprehend him.

Police say a search of a vehicle revealed diagrams of local apartment complexes and items classified as burglary tools.

Authorities say Hale faces charges of Escape Of Prisoner, Possession Of Burglary Tools, Disorderly Conduct, Improper Tag, No Insurance, and Shoplifting.
