MABEN, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Maben man faces two counts of aggravated assault after he stabbed a pregnant woman.
Oktibbeha County sheriff's investigators say the John Jones, 30, was arrested after the incident happened around 11:30 Sunday morning on Maben-Bell Schoolhouse Road.
The woman was airlifted to the University Medical Center in Jackson.
She is currently listed in stable condition.
Authorities say the investigation is continuing and Jones, who lives on Sanders Trailer Park Road in Maben, could face more charges in the incident.
