OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) -- An Ocean Springs man faces multiple charges after being arrested Sunday morning in the home invasion of an elderly couple.

Investigator Lt. Brett Watson says Dewayne Antoine Perry, 32, faces charges of burglary of a dwelling, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, simple assault of a vulnerable adult and sexual battery.

Watson said deputies arrested Perry after responding to a residence on Maben-Starkville Road for a 911 hangup call.

After they arrived, deputies discovered a burglary was taking place.

Perry is currently being held in the Oktibbeha County Jail awaiting arraignment.

Watson said bond has not been set at this time, but Perry is expected to be arraigned Tuesday in Oktibbeha County Justice Court.
