MABEN/MATHISTON, Miss. (WTVA) -- Authorities in Oktibbeha and Webster County are investigating fires at two abandoned homes early Thursday morning.
The first fire was reported shortly after midnight on Highway 82 about a half-mile east of Mathiston.
Maben firefighters returning from the scene of the fire discovered another unoccupied home burning on Maben/Starkville Road.
The structure was fully involved when it was discovered.
The investigations into the fires are being handled by the sheriff's department in each county.
