JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) --  The Mississippi Supreme Court will not review the appeal of a Maben man sentenced to life in prison without parole in the slaying of his wife and another woman in 2008 in Okitbbeha County.

Moses Leon McBride, 31, was sentenced to two life sentences without parole for two counts of capital murder in May of 2009.

Prosecutors say deputies found the bodies of McBride's wife, Erica Denise McBride, and Stephanie Nicole Bedford after reports of gunfire at a mobile home west of Starkville on June 15, 2008.

McBride pleaded guilty, but in his appeal, he claims he entered the plea involuntarily and didn't receive effective counsel.

The Mississippi Court of Appeals upheld his conviction in August, and refused to rehear the appeal in December.
