STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) — Have you ever wondered how many times you sit in your favorite chair over the course of five years? That's a matter of study for furniture manufacturers who want their products to last.
It's one of a number of lessons to be learned for some 4,000 students, teachers and parents from across the state in the annual Mississippi State University Wood Magic Science Fair.
"Lots of the students' parents work in that industry, so we want to have a chance to show and tell about the good parts related to forestry and how to produce these products," Forest Products Department head Rubin Shmulsky said.
