STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A year-long investigation led to the arrest of 18 Oktibbeha County residents on drug charges Thursday.
Oktibbeha County deputies say they seized cocaine, marijuana, firearms, a vehicle and approximately $3000 during the arrests.
Of the 18 arrests, 15 were related to the sale or possession of cocaine and three involved the sale or possession of marijuana.
Authorities say those arrested are being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail pending arraignment and the setting of bonds.
More arrests are expected to follow.
The Starkville Police Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Department, West Point Police Department and the Mississippi Department of Corrections assisted in the investigation.
