BROOKSVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A Brooksville woman faces charges she sold a manufactured home to two different people.
Police Chief Reginald Adams says Ashley Smith, 28, on a charge of false pretense.
He says Smith apparently sold the home on February 18 for $2,300 and again on March 7 to another person for $2,500.
He says one of the victims showed up at the location of the home and found an empty lot.
Adams says the person contacted Smith and was told she didn't know where the home was.
He says after a brief investigation, officers located the mobile home and the owner in Starkville.
He says documents obtained showed Smith sold the home.
She is currently free on a $1,000 bond.
